hostels vs. hotels

so here it is.....whether to stay at a hostel or a hotel when traveling abroad. Hotels in my opinion are for people who live in a shell and choose to never leave it. Hostels are there for one reason. Hostels are places to meet people. At a hotel you stay in a private room and never even think of talking to the other people in the area. In a hostel you meet many people of different age groups and backgrounds. These people that you meet can open you to new experiences. You might meet someone from another country and possibly get invited to come for a visit as well as a tour by the local. At a hostel you will meet people that can turn into friends for life. Hostels are very unique. Hostels are cheap but are much more diverse than simple hotels for travelers. Traveling is not just about getting away, its about getting to know different places and ways of life. Get out there. Stay at a hostel. Meet people at the hostel. Have fun at the hostel. Do not be afraid just because you watched the movie hostel. Get out there and find the adventure that lies in meeting new people and experiencing new things.
